University of Kansas opens student ad agency

The KU School of Journalism hired Janet Rose eight weeks ago to lead the Agency, a student-run strategic communications agency that offers real-world experience to students. Made possible by donors who have given $400,000 in support, the Agency provides strategic communications services, including branding, advertising, video production, multimedia research, social media and more to departments and schools across the University.

Donors provide funds to establish student-run strategic communications agency

Known as “The Agency,” the center offers real-world experiences to students. The school recently hired Janet Rose to lead the program. The Agency provides strategic communications services, including branding, advertising, video production, multimedia research, social media and more to departments and schools across KU. Future plans include branching out to work with small businesses and nonprofits in the community.
